What is Unity? What do we teach?

Unity is a worldwide movement that began in the late 1800s under the direction of co-founders Charles and Myrtle Fillmore. Unity is a New Thought tradition with origins rooted in Christianity. It has evolved into a positive, practical, progressive approach to spiritual living.

Our teachings reflect the spirituality taught by Jesus, while honoring the Universal Truths that appear throughout the world’s major faith traditions. We respect everyone’s right to choose a spiritual path. Some people in our congregation identify as Christian, some connect with other religious teachings, others simply claim to be spiritual; some are seekers, some are agnostic, and other identify as atheist. We agree however, that, in Spirit, we are all individualized expressions of Absolute Good and Unconditional Love. Our goal is to show up as Good/Love in all we say, think, and do.
